Furoshiki are beautiful square fabrics that are used as a gift wrap or to wrap packages for transport. Dependent on how they get tied, and their size, they can become a grocery bag, a pie carrier, a lovely gift wrap or secure wrapping for special item. The multi functionality and durability make them perfect for eco-friendly folks on the go.
Part of the secret of a furoshiki is the fact that they are square, so they can be tied in many ways. The basic methods of tying most things are in image No. 3 (courtesy of Japan’s Ministry of the Environment).
The furoshiki I make come in many colors and come in three sizes (Small, Medium and Large) and an abundance of colors. Please email me if you need something specific, or are looking for a bulk purchase for a wedding thank you gifts etc. Because each furoshiki is hand dyed, you may select either warm colors or cool colors. If you have specific color ways you want, please let us know.
As artists, we wear masks all day, every day at our studios and in the streets, so we understand the importance of comfort and looking good. We design these masks to help you step out and keep your community safe, but help you express yourself and have fun while doing it. Let’s face it, we’re going to be wearing masks for a long time, they might as well be fashionable and fun!
These masks are handmade in small batches in San Francisco, California. We put the upmost care into ensuring they are comfortable, easy to wash, and easy to breathe in.
